MAHA stands for the Minnesota Arabian Horse Association. We are an organization of professional and amateur exhibitors, breeders, trainers, and enthusiasts who promote Arabian, Half-Arabian, and Anglo-Arabian horses in Minnesota and the Upper Midwest. We’ve been active since 1954.
You can become a MAHA member by filling out a membership application and paying the annual dues. Contact us through our website or email mnarabhorse@gmail.com for a membership form. Membership includes AHA and Region 10 membership benefits.
MAHA produces two major rated shows — the Spring Fling Show (March) and Fall Classic Show (September) — both held at the Minnesota Equestrian Center in Winona, MN. We also host Arabian Open Shows throughout the season.
No! MAHA welcomes anyone with an interest in Arabian horses. Whether you own, lease, ride, or simply admire Arabian horses, you’re welcome to join our community.
Our Youth High Point Program has three age divisions: 10 & Under (Junior), 11–14 (Intermediate), and 15–18 (Senior). Age is determined as of January 1 of the competition year.
Absolutely! Spectators are welcome at all MAHA shows. Admission is free, and you’re encouraged to visit the barns and meet the horses. Our shows feature complimentary hospitality with beverages and snacks.
Arabians Unplugged is a relaxed, schooling-style show format designed to introduce new riders and young horses to the show ring in a low-pressure environment. Classes are judged but the emphasis is on learning and having fun.
